Our latest Bags to the Future appeal raised £120.80. This will be sent to the Tearfund Refugee Crisis Fund. Thanks go to all who contributed clothes etc.Winter Concert:- Tickets are now on sale for our next fund-raising event, a Winter Concert on Sunday 6th December at 7pm. The first half will feature the Jewel Tones, an award-winning choir for girls aged 10-18 from Charvil, conducted by Suzanne Newman. Click for more about the Jewel Tones. In the second half you will be entertained with piano pieces performed by the senior pupils of Andy Mullens. Talk to Judith Hansford if you are interested (9268932).Supporting the Roof Fund:- It was a successful morning at the Pagoda Sale held on Friday 02nd October, raising £177.12 and, together with money that Penny took for her jewellery and paintings amounting to £111.30, a grand total of £288.42 has been raised. Thanks go to all who helped and supported us.Recently we supported the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with two Coffee Mornings at St James. On Thursday our Cafe welcomed over 70 customers, profits from food & drink amounted to £118, and a Spot the Cake competition raised £145, so we are sending £263 to Macmillan. There were 576 spots on the cake – congratulations go to Barbara Cook who guessed the nearest number. On Friday our Pre-School team held a second Coffee Morning for Pre-school parents, friends and others, and raised over £100 for Macmillan. Well done to everyone involved and thanks to all who supported us.Do you shop online? On Sundays we have 2 services each week 9 am and 10.30 am. Then on the second Sunday of the month at 4 pm we have Messy Church, and there are occasional opportunities for Evening Service with Christians across the Town During the week we also run a Holy Communion service which is on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am.
