St James Puppet Team ‘Hands of Hope’ was formed in 2003.The group meets each Monday evening to practice.

 Aims:

  • To share Jesus with others through our puppetry (our hands)
  • To give young people opportunities to grow in confidence, build  friendships and participate and contribute in services becoming a valued part of the church family.

We usually perform at services at St James – usually all-age services, Christmas and Easter services. The puppets also perform at other church events – Hero Party, Messy Church, Toddlers. We have also performed at Woodley Carnival and Winter Extravaganza. The puppets have been asked to perform at 2 retirement homes and at a family afternoon in Henley and Shinfield. They appear regularly at the CTW Family Fundays during the half terms and summer holidays and are always popular.Parable of the sower
